Privacy Policy

Fasih (فَصيح) is a language-learning app that helps Arabic speakers learn English. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how you can control or delete it.

1. Data We Collect

a. Account data

• When you sign in with Apple or Google: we receive a stable user ID, the display name (if shared), and an email address (or Apple's private relay email). We never ask for a password.
• If you don't sign in, we create an anonymous Supabase guest ID used only to keep your progress on the current device.

b. Learning data

• Your starting CEFR level.
• Lesson progress, reviewed words, SRS state, streak days, bookmarks, achievements.
• Settings: daily goal minutes, reminder time, theme, appearance.

c. Voice recordings

• Pronunciation exercises record your voice for scoring.
• Recordings are stored only locally in the app's Application Support folder and are never uploaded to our servers or any third party.
• You can delete any recording from Profile → My Recordings.

d. Advertising data

• The app uses Google AdMob to show ads to non-premium users. AdMob may collect device advertising IDs, device model, and locale to serve relevant ads.
• iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) is requested before the first ad. EEA users also see a Google UMP consent form before any ad loads.

e. Purchase data

• Purchases run through Apple's StoreKit. We never see your card details — only entitlement state (premium active / not).

2. How We Use Data

• Provide a personalized learning experience and sync progress across your devices.
• Send local notifications (daily reminder). No server push.
• Serve and measure ads (non-premium only).
• Prevent abuse and diagnose crashes (anonymized logs).

3. Third Parties

The only third parties handling your data are:

• Supabase — account + learning state storage, hosted on AWS by Supabase Inc.
• Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In — identity providers.
• Google AdMob + Google User Messaging Platform — ad serving and GDPR consent.
• Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases.
• Apple Speech Recognition — on-device speech-to-text for pronunciation scoring.
• fasih.mohaisentech.com — our audio CDN. Only receives GET requests for audio files; does not link them to your identity.

4. Your Rights

• Access & edit: change display name and settings in Profile.
• Delete: Settings → Fasih Account → Delete Account permanently removes all your account-bound data from Supabase within 30 days.
• Sign out: detaches your cloud account and returns you to guest mode.
• Disable ads: Premium removes all ads (app-open, interstitial, rewarded) immediately.

5. Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Parents discovering such data should contact us for immediate deletion.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. New versions will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change implies acceptance.
